I’ve been a Veterinary professional for 15 years and a Certified Veterinary Technician for 7 years. I’ve worked at many speciality hospitals and have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in doing so. Working with Dr Amato at Veterinary Neurology and Pain Management center of New England has been a wonderful learning experience. With Dr. Amato’s progressive pain management protocols we have been able to do something that in all my years of being a technician I have yet to see. We have been able to do same day TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) procedures. These advanced methods of pain control make it so families can have the their beloved canine back with them to relax and mend at home. No more worrying about how your pet is fairing with being in the hospital. This is truly an amazing progression in veterinary orthopedic surgery and pain control. Our patients are waking up from surgery more comfortable and ready to start using their repaired limb much faster than I have ever seen. I am so thankful to be apart of such a developing and forward thinking facility. Dr. Amato and Dr. Kube really care about the well being and comfort of your pet, and want to do what is best for them. Having your pet happy, healthy and back with their families is incredible. – Jennifer Boston, CVT
Pet’s Name: Max
Story:
Late last year my dog Max suddenly couldn’t stand or walk so I brought him to the Veterinary Neurology and Pain Management Center of New England to be seen, terrified of what I would find out. He had bulging disks in his neck and would continue to get worse without treatment. I opted to go forward with surgery and a Hyperbaric treatment (-which is incredible for so many types of ailments!) I asked millions of questions to the team there and did tons of research on what the best option for Max would be. I wanted to give him the best quality of life I could.
Doing this surgery was the right decision and once I had all my information I had no doubts in the treatment or the team. Their patience and kindness and thorough explanations of what I was dealing with meant the world to me. Dr. Kube performed the surgery; she is smart and amazing at what she does and truly cares about her patients and their parents! We had a few rough weeks of recovery but once I started him with physical therapy he completely thrived and has been progressing ever since! His personality is bigger than ever, he stands taller, -literally- and he is no longer in pain.
I can’t say enough about the people at this hospital. They love max as much as I do! Every single person there has helped me through this and his favorite person (and PT therapist!) Renee has been the best of all. She has been so diligent in his therapy and proactive in his treatment every step of the way, not to mention the emotional support! If you ever need a specialist for your pet I highly highly recommend Veterinary Neurology and Pain Management Center of New England.
Pet’s Name: Robby-John
Story:
I received a phone call from your office today, completely out of the blue. The pleasant young lady I spoke with was asking about how my cat Robby-John was doing.
It’s been about nine months since I first brought Robby-John, to your office. At that time he was very sick and I was very nervous that I might lose him. Getting an appointment to see you was very quick and from start to finish you showed such genuine care and compassion for both my little Robby and me, his very nervous Mom. Your office performed all the testing and labs that same day. No dragging the process out. We brought him home with some meds and, by that time, with some of the test results. The rest of the results came a few short days later. My husband and I were so relieved when that phone call came. Robby-John was going to be okay.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for everything you did for Robby and his very grateful parents.
Pet’s Name: Gracie
Story:
I want to take a moment to thank Dr. Kube and Dr. Wolfe and the entire staff for everything you have done for my beagle, Gracie. Gracie had very successful spinal surgery. Before the surgery, her hind legs were like rubber and she had lost most of control over them. She could only take about two steps and her hind legs would wabble and fold under and she would fall. Now after the surgery, she is walking very well and getting stronger every day. She has only had two physical therapy sessions so far and is doing very well. I also want to thank the entire staff for the truly loving care and attention Gracie gets when she is with you. It really shows just how much you all truly care. If I had to make a list of pros and cons, the pros list would be too long to print and there would not be a single con. Again, thank you so much for everything you have done for Gracie.

Pet’s Name: Mannie
Story:
My vet recommended Dr. Kube to assess and treat my shih tzu’s twitching. I am so glad he sent me to Dr. Kube. Her human touch and medical expertise made the whole experience of disc surgery a success. My pooch is thriving and looks forward to visiting for his physical therapy. Thank you to Dr. Kube, Renee and the entire staff for their genuine care, dedication and services.
Pet’s Name: Tucker
Story:
Dr Kube, Chastity and staff are the best! Three days before my wife and I were scheduled to travel to Europe for a special celebration, Tucker, our 10 year old mini-dachshund lost use of his hinds legs. Our local vet sent us to Dr Kube immediately, and she outlined our options: meds + rest versus back surgery. At first, we decided to avoid surgery, but the day before we were to leave, Tucker suddenly got much worse. Withe the help of Dr Kube and her staff, we scrambled to arrange surgery and appropriate post surgical care for Tucker. While traveling in Europe, my wife and I got daily (sometimes 2x per day) updates on Tucker, making us feel much more comfortable about an otherwise bad situation. Dr Kube and Chastity orchestrated his care while we were gone (thanks, Chastity!), and we could not be happier with the results. When we got home, Tucker was doing great and was obviously well cared for. We still received follow up calls the week after we got home. I highly recommend Dr Kube and staff!
Pet’s Name: Adeline Rose
Story:
Adeline is a Bouvier that started having seizures when she turned 2. We were also told that she would develop arthritis and eventually hip dysplasia. We were referred to Dr Kube for Neurology and for pain management. I can’t say enough great things about Dr Kube and her staff. Her caring approach with her patients is amazing. Adeline is my child and I worry about her constantly. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were both comfortable with what was going on. Every question/concern was answered in a compassionate way. Her water therapy and laser treatments have helped her greatly. We never thought we would get her into the tank for the water therapy, but Renee was very patient and took her time and she did it!!! I can’t thank everyone at Veterinary Neurology and Pain Management enough. Her seizures have gotten better and she is a happy girl. This is a facility that truly cares about what they are doing. Thank you!!!!
Pet’s Name: Mia
Story:
Mia is our long-Haired 7 yr old chihuahua. She is our one and only pet. A few months back she was diagnosed with meningitis/encephalitis from an unknown origin causing her to have neurological episodes from inflammation on her cerebellum. We can not say enough about Dr Kube and her staff. I’m in medicine (human) and I wanted to make certain my baby had the BEST! I contacted 3 vet tech friends from3 different parts of Mass. I assumed Angell Memorial was “the place to go” when much to my delight all 3 techs, hands down, directed us to Dr Kube. She is knowledgable, helpful, empathetic practically a Human physiatrist LOL (joke) she worked very closely with our primary vet and was extremely resposive via email. We can not say enough about her. Her staff is beyond empathetic and caring. You want the BEST OF THE BEST…. this is the place you NEED to be! When leaving your sick baby in the hands of these loving professionals it makes your day a smidge better knowing your baby is going to be ok. We can’t thank them enough….Thank you from the bottoms of our hearts!
