How Do I Prepare for My Appointmemt?
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This will allow adequate time for you to complete the necessary forms regarding you and your pet. If for any reason you will be late or can not make your appointment, please notify our office as soon as possible so that other pets may have the opportunity to be seen. Please allow at least one hour for your pet’s first appointment.
It is important that you arrive at VNAP with the following:
- all medications your pet is currently receiving
- all pertinent laboratory results
- radiographs or other diagnostic images that have been performed
- other pertinent information supplied by your veterinarian
**Please be sure to give all medications, as directed by your veterinarian, on the day of your pet’s appointment. Please do not feed your pet the morning of your appointment.
Following the initial consultation, all the recommended diagnostic procedures, treatment options, and an estimate of the cost will be discussed with you in detail. Your referring veterinarian will be contacted with recommendations after consultation with you. Should your pet require hospitalization, your veterinarian will be kept informed throughout your pet’s stay at VNAP.
If your pet needs hospitalization, you will be asked to leave a deposit to be applied toward your final bill. Payment in full is expected at the time of your pet’s discharge from VNAP. For your convenience we accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and cash. We also offer CareCredit and Trupanion.
When your pet is discharged, you will be given detailed verbal and written instructions about your pet’s home care program. Your veterinarian will also be contacted at that time. A discharge letter detailing the test results, diagnosis, treatment, and long term care of your pet will be emailed to your veterinarian.
